KTEH’s tape room has about a dozen video tape recorders in various formats. Most are 1 inch open reel decks. At any given time, some units are recording a show coming from a PBS satellite for later playback, one is usually playing the show currently on the air, and others are used to edit tapes for later broadcast.
During Petpouri, one or two decks may be used to play back the taped portions of the show, such as a field shoot at a pet fair. Another will record the current show for later rebroadcast. Below you see a video controller and a tape deck.
We now have most of the technical spots covered. Time to start rehearsal.
